Default Progressive Shocks

Hey guys i have a 2009 street bob and i want to put black 12inch progressive 412 shocks on it. I found some on ebay but it says fits years up to 2005. The part number is 412-4036B. Does anyone know if these will work on a 2009 model? If not does anyone know the right part number and a good place to get em at?

THANKS!!!!

Dude,
I had the 412s and they bottomed out for me, get a better model!
I am 6' tall and 195 lbs and had them on the stiffest setting and they
just didn't cut it for me. I now have the 430 Black contrast and they are
the Sheeeeaht!

I have 12.5" Progressive 440's on my F Bob cranked to highest preload. The bike doesn't move lower at all when I sit on it.

Ummm...rear shocks are supposed to sag a little when you sit on the bike, back it off a bit, springs are too stiff for your weight and/or too much preload, your losing available traction when they are that stiff.

Ok, now your rear shocks have a little sag, that's not what you said previously, and ground footpegs don't mean the suspension is set up properly, I'm just saying you will lose traction in the rain and too much throttle coming out of a corner will bust the rear loose, if your rear shocks are too stiff, the rear wheel won't maintain contact with the road as well as it should if the rear is not set up properly. I'm just trying to help, I'm not picking on your post per se. Out of the box, Harleys suspension needs a little work. Amend that, a lot of work. The stock set-up, or even small improvements, are fine, you can grind off footpegs all day long on a stock set-up, that's not the point. I'm just saying
you have to have suspension sprung for your weight front and rear, put in a Ricor valve in the front, adjust the rebound in the rear, etc. do it by trial and error, but don't tell people to crank it to highest preload as an end all.

Yeah you should set your sag/preload to 1/3 the stroke of the shock. For 3" of travel you ideally want 1" of sag for street riding.
