Hi all-
I live in the north east (Boston) and have my bike in storage. I would like to take it out this week.
I dont have a garage and once I take it out from storage it will be left outside with just a cover on it.
My question if anyone knows is it too cold too leave outside with just a cover? Is it "bad" for the bike?. The average night temperatures are now 38 degrees where I live..can't wait to ride.
Thanks for any insight on this issue,
I don't know how particular you are about your bike. I would cringe thinking of mine being kept outside under a cover. Consider investing in a bikebarn or small rubbermaid type shed.
This winter I was stuck with out a garage and had to keep my bike outside, It wont hurt it much as long as you are vigilant about putting the cover on.
That being said, I'm working on getting a garage as fast as possible.

+1 my buddy has his in a rubbermaid shed and the bike barn is pretty sweet.
The cold tempps won't hurt the bike. Just don't put a Harley cover on it or someone will rip it off for sure. I would also recommend a rubber coated case hardened chain through the frame and chained to some immoveable object.
