I like the look of a lot of black and a bit of chrome to show of the black. Your bike will look awesome.

Everyone knows black is faster, right?

I rattle canned my horn cover with flat black one day and shaved a half-second off my quarter mile time.

Late Dec into Jan rode from Texas to Cali and back, stopping in probably 8 or 9 Harley dealerships here and there. On the days with plenty of riders gathered, my black FB was lost in the usual sea of chrome.

+1 ON THAT...Blacked out bikes may dominate this forum but out in the mainstream they're not that frequent

I just do my thing. That's what I recommend to you.

I dont know why everybody say's "looking like everyone else". There is 85,000 something members to this forum. Maybe 10 or 12 look a like on here. Thats pretty good odds on who looks a like. I've never seen one look even remotely like mine in my city with the population of 671,588. No offense to anyone.

From what I have seen I don't like the look of the rear fender struts being gloss black. I powdercoated mine wrinkle black to match the engine. I love the way it looks. Some bikes I see on this forum have way too much black to them; it kind of overshadows the whole bike. I like to have a little chrome on the bike so there is a nice balance. A little chrome makes the black pop a little more and it looks better.

I black krinkled my struts to match my speedo, gas tank moulding, etc.

I thought the trees need to go with the frame, then the sliders need to go with the trees, then the strut covers etc. etc......I went with gloss black and thought the tins should stand alone.

Which brings me to my next thought. It is absolutely KICK @SS seeing all the different styles / ideas of blacked out bikes on this forum!!!! Many are black, but few none are the same.
