I thought the trees need to go with the frame, then the sliders need to go with the trees, then the strut covers etc. etc......I went with gloss black and thought the tins should stand alone.
Which brings me to my next thought. It is absolutely KICK @SS seeing all the different styles / ideas of blacked out bikes on this forum!!!! Many are black, but few none are the same.
took the words out of my mouth! I think most bikes have unique qualities.
I think it's great that all these opinions came up on how a "blacked out" dyna should look...just reminds ya there's no right or wrong way! Plus with all these opinions you know all the "blacked out" dynas won't look the same! Had to throw in a picture of my new yss shocks to!
I'm at this decision point also. Bars, trees, headlight, struts are blacked out. Rims and hubs will be done next week. I just got a great deal on chrome billet forwards and bassani stainless pro street pipes.
My dilemma is do I leave the pipes polished to match the forwards, do I wrap the front half of the pipes and leave the back have polished, or do I wrap the front half and paint the back half? Decisions, decisions..........
It all comes down to what looks right to your eye .... what fits with the rest of the bike. I recently added some black to my ride ..... I like the contrast on the silver engine - also wanted to tie the frame, battery box, and electrical cover back in better with the rest of the bike.
