12 days for a 1000 mile service!, if they are open 10 hours a day - 2 days for Sundays, they have had 100 hours to get to it, you can't tell me they couldn't find 1 measly hour to take care of your bike, I would be pissed!
sounds like they F'd something up and having trouble fixing it or waiting on a part to fix it or something. I am sure you'd be pissed if you found out they broke something but wouldn't you be more pissed finding out they were trying to hide it from you? Shops do this for some reason (I worked as an auto tech for 18 years). Trust me, any shop out there wants that easy money to come in and go out, they are not gonna just put that off.
I pick up my bike ASAP done or not. Go to another dealer if possible. I would not let them touch my bike for any kind of work. Warranty work forgetaboutit they have your bike the whole riding season. f-ing joke. Whats the name of the dealer post in Bad dealer section. So others can stay clear of them.
I would have already been in there wanting to see my bike and know what they hell they were doing that they couldn't do a 4 hour service in 12 days. Thats totall bull **** and i would be pissed and they better make it right with you for sure. That service should be free they should eat it and id want to know what they messed up or did
That's no good, but at least it's a good learning experience. I learned a lesson like that a few times with my old bike. Never waited like that, but have taken the bike back more than once when the tech installed something wrong, or not at all on my old bike. Also, service dept always dug DEEP into my pockets. I will not go into to this dealer for even a .02 part. I buy my bikes elsewhere, and order everything almost exclusively from CHD. Got the service manual for my new bike and will do service myself. Bottom line, we don't have to put up with crap like that.
My dealer in Goldsboro NC has never treated me like that....I usually drop it off on SUnday late afternoon when i know there will be bad weather and i usually pick it up on Friday evening or Saturday first thing before my ride with the club starts...They always give me a time fram and always have met it.
Yeah they are so quick to sell you all there BS.and pre-pay...I would go ask them for a loaner..NO I WOULD TELL THEM RIGHT NOW..anymore than a day is too long
