Default Oil Changes

Is it easy to change the Street Bob's oil? I want to do it myself. Also, will that void the warranty. Thinking about going with Amsoil, I hear it is the best. Any suggestions?

Nope not hard at all.... Warranty void= No.... I use Harley Synthetic oil in primary and motor and Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-90 in tranny

Just cover the oil filter with a bag or something when you unscrew it or **** goes everywhere. That's a mistake I won't make again.

Amsoil and Mobil1 are a good bet. I use Redline HD shockproof in the tranny, and HD formula+ in the primary.

Keep your receipts and keep a log. The MoCo can't refute warranty issues when you produce the evidence.

Can someone post a pic of the oil drain? I've heard it's difficult to tell.

Look in your owners manual. It has a photo and diagram in there.

I would suggest picking up a service manual for your bike too if you don't already have one. You don't necessarily need it to change oil but it'll be invaluable if you plan to do very much of your own maintenance.
I run Amsoil in my engine and HD Formula + in the primary and tranny. You'll get a million different answers on what's the best.
