I installed some lower wind deflectors on my Street Bob. I got them from Rifle.com. I went to test them out but it started raining so I headed back home. Only got up to 50 or so but I did notice a difference. Will test again tomorrow at some higher speeds and see how much improvement it makes. How do you guys think they look?
I will confess I don't really like the look. However, even though I use one nearly 100% of the time, I don't think windshields look good on a Dyna either
However, yesterday I rode 450 miles from Prescott, Az. home to Los Angeles, and did get tired of the buffeting. Since I have a Road Glide i don't usually use the Dyna on longer trips.
I gotta say I'm suprised, those actually don't look bad at all. I just broke down and bought a windshield after swearing I never would. I'm getting to the point in my life were function is going to start winning out over looking cool. I live where it's cold, time to face that reality.
HD 472 did you make your lowers or did you purchase them? It looks like you are using the Harley quick disconnect clamps they use on their widshields. How do the work? Did they help with the buffeting? Thanks
OK I'LL be honest,Nope don't like them at all don't like the windshield either I do have a wshield for mine but it is going to e-bay.Just don't look good on the dynas.JMO
If they work and make you enjoy the ride more, who cares how they look?!
I personally only thing smaller shields look acceptable on our Dynas, of course, sometimes you need to forgo looks for rideability. I don't use a shield, I also don't do any long highway riding. I'm all about the wind in the face and scenic state roads.
