I was thinking about getting the cobra speedsters, anyone have pics or know how the cobra exhausts hold up? Is it good quality? Hope they are atleast 100 db! So far (so far) these are the pipes im leaning towards!
I had them. With the baffles in, the weren't too loud. Performance was pretty decent I guess. I pulled the baffles out because of a "tweet" in town. Increased noise, less performance. Don't know if they were 100db tho. Only problem I had was the chrome on the tips came off. I still need to send them back to Cobra for replacement.
But, I decided to try a 2-1. MUCH better performance, and the sound of the fatcat with the standard baffle..............MMMM, Mikey likey!!!
When I owned my Kawi vulcan 900 custom, the only pipes those guys would buy (on the forums I visited..) were Cobras... I've heard a lot of good things from quality and sound, but never tried it. SO, with that said, good luck on your decision!
I have the dragsters, in the process of putting them on right now. Everything looks great as far as quality goes and they are confident enough to put a lifetime warranty on them.
When I bought them the price was right, got them on ebay for $189 shipped. They were new in the box so even though they were for 05 and older I couldn't pass them up. I had to mod the bracket but that was real easy, just waiting for the paint to dry so I can re-assemble it and run them. No pics yet but I will get some and post them.
edit...Forgot to mention the price was with one of ebay's coupons. As far as loud, they should make plenty of noise. The pipes are one piece and the section where the baffle goes is 2 1/4" OD and the baffle is the wide open cheese grater style.

Back when I was searching for new exhaust, I stopped in an indy shop. The guy was talking about sound/quality and he said "do not buy Cobra. They suck and sound like crap." Take it for what it's worth.

This is what i want to hear from people, wish more would chime in! Lot of money if something sux!
I've got them on mine. Good quality and I guess they sound good, everyone tells me they're loud with a good sound. Never heard anyone else ride the bike so I don't know how it sounds when the cable is stretched tight. Personally think it sounds like **** but I think all the new bikes sound like **** due to EFI.
I had the Cobras on my VTX 1300. Now I have the V&H Big Shot Staggered. Both look exactly the same. The V&H are a higher quality. Can't compare sound because of diff bikes. But my current V&H are louder.
