Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
Most of the differences between the dyna models is just styling.
Superglide, St. Bob, Super Glide Custom are all pretty much the same bike with different bits of styling here and there.
Low Rider and Fat Bob are the exception, but thats mainly suspension forks and exhaust.
What is the difference between the suspension and forks between the SB and LR?
When you look at the comparison http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/C...ale=en_US&dwp=
Seat height, ground clearance rake etc. are all identical. But somewhere there is about a half inch diference in the overall length and wheelbase. I'm curious as to what accounts for the difference. Somehow according to that LR also has one more ft/lb of torque????
Its a matter of taste. I like both so it depends really on if you want a tank mounted speedo or one mounted on the bars. Also if you like apes or not, with the SB having intregrated risors it can limit bar choices without a riser swap.
Personally I like the guages on the bars were I can see them and I love the SG tank and Fuel cap.

The low rider has a little extra Rake in the trees. The rake they show is just the frame and they are the same now. I believe the older LR's also had some extra rake in the frame but not positive.
That accounts for the length but have no idea why it shows more torque.
I like the streetbob better. Superglide has the all silver engine and the speedo on the risers. The speedo is in a convenient place ,but, many do not like the look.
When I bought my bike, I went in for an Electra Glide Classic. I walked around the store and sat on every bike in there. There was a Silver SuperGlide that I kept going back to. I liked the way it looked; the silver engine, the Brilliant Silver paint, the blue shadow around the HD Emblem, the staggered exhaust, the 5 1/4 inch headlight, and the solo seat.
It just had the look and feel I wanted. Made my deal, bought my riding gear, and even had the service manager ride it to the house since I had driven there in my car.
Since, I've found what I did not like plus started adding what I wanted to fit me. I'm pretty well satisfied with my SG. I've got plans to do more, but I'm not in a hurry. It's amazing how fast you can burn through several thousand $$$ for gear and accessories. The hard part is decided which part to invest you dollars. I've made quick decisions on items that cost hundreds of $$, but have agonized over small items. Example, I wanted one of the "dealers coins", and it was a freebie, but where I wanted it put was something else. It finally found a home on my steering head cover and then I had to make sure it went on exactly to my OCD specs.
Conclusion - go with what feels right based on your preferences and your budget.
