I was looking at the SG because of the price, even though I liked the SB looks better. I was lucky, the SB had a bunch of extras from the factory and the dealer knew I liked it but was concerned over the price. He gave me the SB with the add ons for the same price as the SG. That was Peterson South Store, don't find places like that much anymore. I am SOOO happy with my SB. Of course I have so much money in it now that I have to say that
I looked at both the street bob and the superglide, I went with the street bob cause I hate the speedo on the bars look and I loved the chopped fender look on the bob. Also the lower seat height I think the lines on the bob flow better, IDK Just my 2cents.
I got the best of all worlds IMO with the Street Bob bars, Wide Glide forwards, and the FXDC chrome. Am I the only one who prefers the silver engine? Just askin'.
Funny thing is I went in to buy an Electraglide standard and ended up with a Street Bob.I don't get it either, I think somehow my x wife was involved in that decision.Since then I've come to hate the apes and the speedo mounted on the tank. The apes are easy to get rid of the speedo on the tank not so much.I hate having to look down to see how fast I'm going and whether I turned off the signal or not.I think I would have been happier with a carbuerated Sportster 1200r oh well live and learn.
ed- i did the same thing, i was looking a and electa glide std and ended up with the street bob.....i love my dyna but wish i had the bigger bike. when my wife and i ride together shes always gotta buy **** while were out and we never have a place to put it...
