mine came with them since I bought the bike used... If I were to buy a new bike it wouuld be my first mod... well with pipes.

The heel rests make a big difference in comfort especially when you are riding 200-300 miles at a clip. Regarding dragging, no the heel rests do not drag. If you lean the bike way over in a turn the end of the footpegs should drag but the heel rests are way inboard of the end of the peg so they are not going to drag.

Same ones I have with forward controls and they work great.
I've only scrapped a couple times, usually it hits the heel of my boot first.

For mine to be comfortable they have to be low enough that they scrape in hard turns. Easy install and well worth it.

Thanks everyone for the help. I like the way the HD airfoil pegs and heel rests look so I am going to try those out. Thanks for the advice and the pictures.
