On my Sportster, the pigtails were just sticking out from under the seat--could easily be tucked in or out just enough to connect it, which I usually did after each ride (and all winter).
I was looking for it on my new FXDC and found the pigtails, but they're way down there, basically next to the engine, above the primary, and seem to be clipped on to some hose connected to the air cleaner--in essence, near hot stuff and very un-handy to get to.
Where do most folks have theirs? If there's a better place (and I'd like to think there is), how hard/easy would it be to rearrange where they come out?
Mine is zip tied to the down tube of the frame rail on the right side close to the swing arm. That is where it was when the bike was brand new and it works for me fine.
Hmmmmm...I'll have to see if I can move it at least a little. I don't want to burn my hand every time I plug 'er in. Sounds like no one has it coming out a little higher up?
Just wait till the bike is cold. Just remove the seat and trace them from the connection to the battery. Shouldn't be very hard and I'm sure they are zip tied to their location now just to keep them from getting burned. Mine come out just aft of my battery box also.
