I use ACF-50 you can spray it over all parts (brakes aside) and it protects from corrosion and acts on any you have already.

Maybe not a big deal but i made a aluminium washer which covers the rust.

You can say thanks to the cheap bastards that decided to use a mild steel uncoated washer on a $20,000 bike for that. A plated washer would have cost them an extra $0.01 in bulk maybe?

Every bolt all over the bike, particullary the engine will corrode no matter how carefull you think you are. IMO their strategy is to keep you buying upgrades- chrome bolts/ stainless/
hot toppers/ whatever.
A good spray is one way to go another is Q-tips and WD-40. Apply a little to each bolt.
It'll keep a stock bike lookin' showroom fresh for a long time, but remember A LOT of this type of protectant also works as penetrating oil- so be careful and make sure everything stays tight. BE careful, a stripped case can set you back quite a bit.
