So I did some mods yesterday and my buffeting seems to be gone. Not that i miss it though. So here's what i did.
I put the 7" headlight on which forced me to cut my windshield in order to fit around that massive bucket. I have the windshield cutout just about 1/8" over the bucket, so it's not touching. I also have a windshield bag, which i had on there before. I also put the 2" tank lift on this winter. I then loosened the 2 top bolts on the windshield mounting brackt and pushed the windshield forward about a 1/4" or so then tightened them all back up. And to top it off, i even removed the memphis lowers i had on last year.
Took it out on the freeway and wow, much better ride. The only thing is i don't know which mod or adjustment did the trick or if it was all of them together. Either way, i'm happy now.
I have th e5 1/4 teardrop billet headlight and do not get teh buffeting that others get. But now that the temps are up my shield is sitting in the basement. Glad you got yours sorted out. And I love that color on the Fat Bob. If they had that when I was buying that is the one I would have bought.
