you can just turn the stock risers around backwards and gain an inch, maybe more... did that with mine... risers for 1 1/4 handlebars are hard to find unless you want to pay ...a lot...

if its helps any... i bought an extra set of stock fatbob risers (ebay-32.00) and had a friend cut an inch off the bottom and drill them a little deeper to accept the riser bolts..., these are the ones i turned backwards... it dont sound like much, but the bike is way more comfortable now, doesnt feel like the bars are all up in my chest when i lean forward a lil bit...

Looked at my risers after i read this.Turning them around would put the bars forward.I'm going with the 6 inch pull back risers from harley. They also have 4 inch.

Yup agreed turning the risers will push bars forward a little. [I] alos would like my fxdf bars just an inch closer to me. So the other day I am at the dealer's looking at the sundowner seat, and the parts guy wanders over,we gab a little and he suggests I look at the '09 streetbob seat. It's 190 here in canada , that's 80$ cheaper than the sundowner , so he and I mosey over to a SB and i sit on it. Well lo and behold the '09 stock SB seat puts you about an inch closer to the triple trees. If I went that route I would save a bundle and wallop two birds right smack! Check it out man, just trying to offer up some options!

Incidentally so far nothing beats the comfort of my fxdf stock seat

I put a mustang vintage wide touring seat on this weekend and it feels like it moved me up a little bit, and it's more comfortable than stock. Don't know if the solo would do the same.
If you get the pullback risers put on, be sure to post pics.
Harley has some new ones to fit 1.25" bars.
