Debating 12" or 14" apes. I like the look of the 14" better, but I'm afraid they're gonna be too tall. But if I order the 14" and they're too tall, I could just get some shorter risers. I got the stock 3 1/2", so I guess I could go down 2 1/2" on the risers, but where do I find some cheap 1" springer risers?
Or is there a way to shorten/cut the original ones?
Bikers choice makes a few different sizes, as well as LA choppers. I would Imagine Drag Specialties own brand of risers would be the most moderately priced.
there's a thread on here where either the raisers or raiser bolts from a "cheap" kit broke while riding. I'd look for a used "good" set myself.
That didn't sound like much fun. I thought it was bad enough when I ended up with my bars in my lap because of the shitty stock risers, but at least they were still attached hehe...
There are very few risers that are made for the HD springer front end.
Yeah Im starting to realize that. Just got an e-mailrespond from Biltwell, as I asked them if it was possible to bore their risers out to use with the springer, but they really didn't wan't me to do that hehe...
Guess I'm just gonna have to order some riserstud adapters. Since the only one ( vtwin ) that seems to have been used on this forum is sold out. I'm just gonna have to order a couple of different ones to see which one will work....
