Default What is this plug?

During my pc-v install, I came across this plug. Anyone know what it is?
I went all through my service manual but saw nothing on it.
(hope the pic shows)

Probably the accessory plug. Is it pinned to the back of the battery box?

It doesn't appear to be plugged into anything. It seemed to just be loose in there behind the box.
Notice the fork "tines". Sensor of some sort ?
That end of the plug is somewhat dirty, doesn't look like it was just unplugged.
Bike started and ran without any problem.
Just wondering if anyone else saw this when they installed their tuners.

I asked this question about a year ago when I did my PCIII install. Never did get a definitive answer though. Someone suggested that it was some sort of ambient temp sensor but not sure. It was just clipped into the rear fender sitting there with nothing attached to it. At first I thought I unplugged something accidentally.

FWIW my bike has run fine after the install so I probably wouldn't worry about it. I still would like to know what the hell that thing is anyway.

when reading thru my manual , it seems i saw several things that my bike DOES NOT have... active exhaust and other stuff that is for bikes goin to other countries... perhaps this plug is for something that usa bikes dont need and dont get...

The government uses this plug when you are not looking (maybe your bike is in for servicing) to download all your personal information (where you've been, who you've seen, what you've purchased...etc.) and the voices tell me that I am not paranoid...

That plug is to hook up the private passenger seat accessory.
