Default Technical question, clutch switch

I've got an 03 Dyna Defender. (Harley Police duty bike) I've pretty much made it civilian now. My question is how to disable the clutch switch. This bike has to have to clutch pulled in to get it started. Problem is I changed out the stock grips for some larger HD grips, and now the clutch handle will not depress the switch far enough to let the bike be started. I can do it with my finger, but that is a pain, especially with gloves on.
Any experience and suggestions would be welcome.

Is there two wires to the switch? Cut them and solder the two leads together.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought about doing, but just thought I'd bounce it off some one with more experience with Harley's than I have. Thanks again.
