Default Reflector Removal

Has anyone pulled off their amber reflectors from their front forks? They look like they are just stuck on with trim adhesive I would pull on it but with my luck it would snap and be a $35 replacement part.
So who do you call? HD Busters!!!! Thanks guys.

I would get rid of the rear fender reflectors too if they come off the same!

Ready MacGyver...

Wifes Blow Drier
Fishing Line
GooGone.

Heat Reflector sufficently
Slide fishing line between reflector and fork
Slide reflector off
Remove remaining adhesive with goo gone.

When I did mine I got the fishing line in and pulled away enough to get my fingers in their to pry it off. Use lots of heat, its your friend.

I took mine off as soon as I got it. Just pulled them off by hand and used GooGone to clean up any left on residue.

Pulled em off front and back.

Dental floss pulled from one end to the other to get the reflector off, then goo-gone and a rag....for stubborn spots I used the rounded end of a plastic spoon. No scratches.

Ditto-a little heat, a piece of fishing line, a little 3M Adhesive Remover and presto--the POS's are gone.

Good luck with the reflectors. I believe I be doing the same thing right off. How's that gonna make getting the thing inspected?

In the mean time......if you find ANY $35 replacement parts on your HD I'd like to know where that shop is.

Dont know your inspection laws, but nothing in pa i know of to do with reflectors.

and I once did replace a 35 dollar small plastic plug, but of course I had a 20% off coupon, lol HD= Hundreds of dollars.....lol

seriously, the reflectors are one of the easiest mods and to me it make it look so much better..
