that is exactly what I was considering doing because I would love the look, however I am a lard *** and I sometimes carry my wife (who is very AVERAGE in size in case she reads this...haha) so I am just not sure they would work for me riding double, even the heavy duty ones. But its always running through my mind!

I am 260+ and with my 11" 412 heavy duty progressives it is very stiff. When I put the wife on the back (@125lbs.) it actually makes the ride a little more tolerable. But I will be selling my 412's soon and spending about 3X as much on another set of shocks. You decide, but anything would be better than stock.

no tire contact in the rear at all? I can deal with a stiffer ride.
Takes me about a half hour to get my LR ready for the wife to ride. That includes changeing my shocks back to the standard 12" from the 11" Progressives, adding saddlebags and a sundowner seat and changing the windshield out to a larger one. Lucky for me, my wife doesn't like to ride much.
