with all the problems people are having with thier bikes runnign right... i just wanted to post this... you have to winterize your scoot if you dont ride in the winter. you do... i have 4 bikes all of them get it, wether i ride them or not... stabil in the tank, bike gets WD 40 in the pipes, covered and parked on carpet. started and moved every other week if i am not riding it... i also put charchole down under the bike to catch moisture...
*when you wash your bike... NEVER HIT IT WIHT A PRESSURE WASHER OR HOSE HEAD ON!!!! it is not a car! mist the bike... wash it down and mist off the soap... then use a dryer (leaf blower, or hell i use a air mattress pump) and blow it all dry... start the bike and let it burn off extra water...
you got to take care of them for them to take care of you.
LOL - Dude, I usually ride my bike 1-2 times per month or more through the winter. Is that enough to avoid these issues? Any input would be appreciated.
ya just trying to help people out... Dsnoopy... bikes can clog up (gum up) in as short as 2 weeks... if you ride it that is fine but still put in some stabil.
keep critters out... also works great if they salt or you salt your drive... the bikes i keep in back in the storage barn/shed. i cover the motor and frames (projects in various stages with exposed metal) in WD to keep them from rusting... works great!
