Good deal on some buckshot
One had a scrap on the end of it (maybe 1-2mm) so they knocked off $50. Normally $199. Picking up some auto paint today to fix it.
LOL, I was trying to decide if I wanted go chrome around the handlebars or black ... Guess I'm going w/ black.
BTW ... I was trying to find a thread re. vibrations in the mirrors on a Fat Bob, couldn't find it. Anyway one thing that I realized yesterday is that mirrors like the Buckshot and others that are billet aluminum have very little flex in the stem. Aluminum is very rigid compared to the cheap steel stems on the mirrors that come on the bike.
This probably came to mind because I was a bike tech for 5 years in a shop (we're talking bicycles here, not moto bikes) Bicycles with steel frames are much more comfortable vs. aluminum because of the amount of flex in the frame.
For what it's worth that's probably the reason behind all the vibes in our stock mirrors ... So go buy yourself some billet ones, they look better anyway.

Also, being more rigid would transfer more vibration to the mirror surface. The 'cheap' steel you refer to, can flex and therefore remove vibrations from reaching the mirror surface. Just my opinion....
