I hit the Tractor Supply Store today and among some things I bought was a small sheet of diamond plate.

Had a little fun with my holecutter...

No, it's aluminum. It'll oxidize over time but not rust.

I also swapped out the stupid torx screws on the air filter for allen head bolts. Little by little I'm going to get rid of the all the torx on my bike.

Great job on the cover. I replaced all of my torx and zinc bolts on my bike. I found a dealer on ebay that sells american made chrome allen bolts for about 1/3 of what HD wants. The guy is great to deal with.
I'm not in any way associated with him just a satisfied customer.
