The rim itself is easy to polish and I'd say any bright metal polish would do the job. I've yet to find a product that will clean the rough cast parts to my satisfaction (I've tried heaps). The hub is pretty much impossible to polish without removing the brake discs and drive pulley. If anyone has found a way to do it please let me know. I took the easy way out and had mine powdercoated black. In answer to your original question, no.
You have to have a Jack to get in there and get the hubs. I usually just quick detail the tins, and once a month jack it up and do the wheels too. Brake clean works good on the cast and to clean the wheel, and just polish it afterwards.
BTW the lower sliders turn to crap after about 10k the clear coat chips off. I powdercoated those when i did my wheels and they are holding up nicely.
I had the same question and was about to post. I have not been very successful with my wheel cleaning so far. This info should help greatly as I give it another go this weekend.

I wipe down my sliders after every ride. it doesn't prevent chips, but it keeps the bug guts from taking off the clear coat.
I wiped mine down about everyride and kept them waxed but the chipped really bad regardless. The front wheel kicks up stuff off the road. I did a lot of freeway riding the first year and I think that is what was hard on them. Just like a car that you drive on the freeway all the time gets a pitted windshield.
