Anyone know if a 2005 Console Kit for the lowrider will fit on a 2000 FXDL? The 2000 is 2 pieces a Tank Trim Panel and a Instrument Housing. I like the look of the newer low profile 1.

Hd says no They have different kits for 95 to 03 and 04 and later They have been known to be wrong but if it is something like an Ebay item I would pass unless absolutely sure.

 

I have a 2000 FXDL and was told that the later model console kit will not fit. I checked because I agree with you that the newer style looks better.

Those consoles on the 96-03 dynas with the cheap plastic tank divider (or cheap piece of chrome if you upgraded) is the worst.

 

Ya if the tank is the same I see no reason it wouldn't fit.....would have to use the existing gauges...but should work

 

I dont think it will fit there are some differences in the tank I think you may be able to make it fit but I dounbt it will just bolt on

I don't think it will fit. It might be easier to find a tank with the console on it and adapt to your bike. Check with your insurance guy and find out who the sell totalled bikes to for salvage.

 

Found this pic of a 2000 with what looks like the newer console....makes me want it even more
