Default Red wheels

Any ideas where's the best place to find some red spoke wheels? Or inexpensive black ones?

getting stock wheels powder coated is the cheapest by FAR! if you dont have them i know that 2007fxdc has a set for a great price!!!!

then just take them in and get them powdered, laced and trued!

I know someone who can powder coat them but I don't know of anyone around here to lace them for me. That's why I was thinking it would be easier to buy some already done. But if it's a huge difference I'll start searching for someone who can lace them for me. I'll just use the stocks off my current bob...but thanks for the link!

cost will be KILLER! if you buy wheels done vs doing them... any dirt bike shop can lace and true them... hell you can lace them and pay like 40 a wheel to have them tured... it is not that hard to lace them just a bit frustrating at first.

Jwafer21,
I know exactly what you are going through. See pic below. I wanted the red rims, and well I checked on the price and it was just crazy compaired to just taking them apart and doing them myself as far as lacing. I did exactly that, I even went as far as taking the 17" rim off my back and changed it out to a 16" rim (to be able to run whitewall tires) and used the 16" rims spokes and then laced them to my stock hub. This was something that I am sure not many, if anyone for that matter had tried before. I had never done any lacing of rims up to that point. I will tell you this, it really is not hard. I took ALOT of pics of each wheel, from every angle possible on both sides of the rim. I also numbered each spoke with these little numbered electrical tape kit I got at Lowes, and then numbered all the holes in the rim. Then took the pics, so that I had an idea of what number spoke went to what number hole in the rim. After doing this, reading the manual and just trying it, I got the hang of it and so can you. The front rim I will tell you is the bit#$ of the two. If you need any help I am willing to help as much as i can.
if you are thinking of doing the rims, maybe think about doing the hubs and possibly even the spokes. I did the rims and hubs in red and the spokes in black.
Again, it is much cheaper to have them coated. You will just need some time to lace them is all.

Yeah, I want mine to look like yours...that's why I was asking. I think your bike looks amazing and nobody around here has anything like it. Everyone does the "blacked out" look so I wanted something different. Thanks for the info. I think I've found someone to help me but I'll be in contact if we run into anything. Thanks!!
