Got all up again and have been riding and enjoying riding to work and around.
Well starting yesterday I start hearing a tiny (tin-ish) rattling that sounds like something rattling around in the horn, so I put an ear down close and its actually coming from the primary. Well I first heard it while my bike was warming up to leave work. Started my ride home and just for safety sake I pulled over to listen for it... It was gone. Later that evening when I'm getting ready to go back to work... nothing. Rode to work still nothing. This morning there it is again... now each time its cooled down it rattles as soon as all get heated up from riding it goes away.
I pulled the inspection cover and the chain seems to be in good adjustment and looks fine and the oil level is great and still looks new. But it sounds like the chain is either rattling against the case when it cold or like I said the horn is rattling, which I know isn't the case....
Oh man... do I ever have stuff like that!! I have FINALLY found the source of a rattle that I had. Been trying to find it for WEEKS now!!!!! I was beginning to lose sleep over it. Well, yesterday, I was looking some more and I finally got it. My rear brake rod is apparently moving back and forth in the forward control bracket, and is making noise. It was seriously pissing me off because I couldn't find it. I have all kinds of noises coming from everywhere. Annoys the hell out of me..... but, its what gives my ride character I guess, right?
Usually when a company installs forward control's they leave the mid control braket on.....wich is located behind the primary this sounds like what your talking about, you look down in between the primary and the jugs below the shift linkage you'll probably see it......i just wrapped a piece of leather around it to keep it from banging on the primary.
