I have been holding on to a Doss Wide Tombstone Tail Light I bought back in the fall for a day to put it on my Bob. So I thought today was the day. I get all of my tools out get everything set up in the backyard to do the install, I take off the rear tail light and immediately I realize there's a problem. It seems that inside the tail light of the 06 Dyna is a wiring harness plug adapter that sends the power to the turn signals. The Tombstone light only comes with three wires, if I cut the wiring harness to install the tail light them there is no connection for the turn signals.[:@]

Does any one know if the Tombstone tail light from say an 06 Heritage Softail has the same type of wiring harness plug adapter inside that sends the power to the turn signals? Would it be a simple swap of tail light assemblies after unplugging the wiring harness, then pluggung it back in ?

Also if anyone has an interest in a Doss Wide Tombstone tail light for an older model bike, I've got one ....real cheap!!![:@]

 

I went through that with my 03 Heritage classic. There is no such thing and no adapter. you have to relocte the turn signals, then they give you there black block off plugs for where the turn signal bar use to go. I just sent it back. there was just way too much screwing around with it that i thought it would really screw somthing up.
Im just waiting for them to come out with a tombstone that simply replaces the original for the Heritage.

Hi guys, an outsider from the Dyna forum here. I've been offered an HD tombstone tail light from an 05 Heritage Springer and was told that this is a straight swap, but I've no idea if it really is and I haven't seen it in the flesh. Can anybody shed any light?
