Tail light mess
I bought a laid over 2003 xl883 sportster a month ago, got it up and going good. Was out riding the other day and had a tug at the rear end, come to find out the wiring to the tail light got caught by the tire. Also come to find out, one of the shocks is locked up, partly why the tire hit the rear fender and got the wire. I re wired the tail light and was looking to put rear signals back on as the original owner had taken them off. One of the plugins to re wire the turn signals is gone. Do you know of a good place I can find a new wire that runs to the tail light so i can have less of a mess of self wiring and a place to buy the connectors to plug tail light wires back in? ive looked all over ebay and MIGHT have found a tail light wire that I think may work on my 03, its for a 99 model. But cant locate just the plug ins for the turn signals.
Also any idea how i measure my current shock to know what size to buy? Ive spent most of my budget already and cant afford brand new stuff. just want to get riding already.
