I've been running the SE gaskets with my thunderheader but just recently got some stickers at the dealer to replace them...hoping to cure my decel popping

I had been running the stock gaskets with no problem , but when i did the big bore i tried the flat gaskets i had decel popping and im pretty sure a leak.... just went back to the stock ones

Do you really need to change the gaskets everytime you take the pipes off ?

From the research I've done on this site, nobody says you HAVE to change them each time you take the pipes off. But they're cheap and considering the pain it takes to remove the pipes again to replace a leak because your old gaskets are shot is worth the purchase of new gaskets up front.

James gaskets(flat like SE). Copper high temp exhaust silicone sealant. No leaks. No interruption of flow from crushing gasket into the port. The pipe fits properly on the bike.
