Sorry antman to hear of it man thats gotta suck! Are those stock header pipes? Did you check to see if the opennings are off round in any way? Otherwise why would this happen only to you.
Man we have a few comidians today
My thoughts were my friend behind me doing 70 and the pipes fall off and he runs into them That would not be fun
The Kick in the @$$ is I have a set of V&H wating to be put on But have not had the time or $$ to pay someone to do them yet!
man if the V&H goes on easy about 30 minute job. If you have to play thema bit to get them to fit, 2 hour job. Just ditch the slip ons, get a torque wrench, and put the others on.

It sounds like nothing was tightened. If the rear bracket attachment bolts were tight, even if the muffler clamps were completely loose, the worst you'd have is a bad exhaust leak. For a slipon muffler to "fall off," everything would have to be finger tight only.

Not on a Dyna with all it's shaking. If the torco clamps are stretched you can tighten those sumbitches until you pop every vein in your neck and they still won't clamp down enough on the joint to secure the mufflers to the headpipe.
Sounds to me like it is time for a complete exhaust, time to get away from the slip ons. in my opinion slip ons on a bike are like a woman with a strap on.
It's not just you, I had my screamin eagle 2s fall off on my 01 dyna. I had the dealer put those on when I bought the bike. I blame them for not tightening them enough. I stuck them back on myself and tigtened the clamps as much as I could and they never came off again.

As opposed to a "complete exhaust" which is like a woman who's had a sex change operation.
