Spring mods (less one)
Also tried the raked forked cups from Vulcan. Got them on and took them back off without even completing the assembly. Couldn't get past the way it looked - spreading the trees apart 1 1/2 - 2 inches was too much for me (sold them to another forum member).
Painted the derby cover Vivid Black. Not sure if i'll keep it that way, but i kinda like how it breaks up the chrome on the left side of the bike.
For the speedo i bought a Sportster mount off e-bay and then fabbed up a bracket to hold the stock indicator lights. Wanted to keep them intact and in the same general area. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Had to use spacers to lift the speedo enough to clear the tank. There's about a 1/4 inch clearance.
Here's the pics. Most of the pics are with the old SE leather seat which i changed out for the Mustang.

Just a question, Are you going to have enough clearance between the speedo and the tank when you hit a bump? That is pretty close and doesn't leave much room for flex in any of the parts (tank, bracket etc)
Toypuller - Yeah there's enough clearance. Roads are pretty bad here in MS so it's already been well tested. Clearance is a little more than what shows in the photo because of the angle of the pic. It's at least 1/4 inch.
