My Dyna Super Glide Custom is just a bit too small for me, out of the box. I'm 6'3", and the mid controls just weren't working for me so I added forward controls, and now I really want to raise my handlebars. I'm new to the aftermarket circuit, so I hope that you can help me out.
I know that I can buy new handlebars or risers to raise up bars. I imagine that risers are cheaper and easier to install. What brands/options should I be looking for? If handlebars are cheaper and/or easier to install, I'll go that route.
I have a 09 super glide custom and I am having a hard time finding dragbars for it. I talked with demon cycles and they said they had no drag bars to fit a 09. I want 6inch risers with drags. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
Risers are easier, and cheaper. I am also 6'3" and added 4 1/2 riers, just a couple of inches makes a big improvement, although I kept the mids, I like to shift around a bit and that's easier w/ mids. Prouddawg try Wild 1, they make some nice drag bars and risers, 1.25" they have a nice fat look. I just ordered their WO 511 drag bars and 6" risers WO 528, although the stock bars(buckhorns w/ 4.5" risers are fine, I want something a little more aggressive) Hope this helps.
your 09 has a top tripple tree with the bar mounts built into it.I just bought a 09 stree bob and what ya have to do is buy a new upper tripple tree that allows you to run risers like the 07 and older ones.Heres the catch...go to hd and try to order it off a 07.....the part# is superseated to the new one and no one has the old ones . V-twin has just the top tripple tree right in stock..thats what your gonna have to do to go to the raiser-drag bar setup.Let me know if ya have any questions cause i just did 2 of them....Kevin

This only applies to the 08 & 09 Street Bobs. The other Dynas have normal top trees.

Thanks. Can you send a photo of the buckhorns with 4.5" risers? I'd like to see what I'm getting into.
