Not sure but I think they would look cool with a fatbob headlight.
if I had to hazard a guess I would guess you would need new risers and clamps, as well as controls to fit the bigger bar. But, they may be tapered for standard controls, as I doubt the grips are bigger, and that harley makes a new set for them.
need to purchase the bars and a set of risers that accept 1 1/4" bars along with the clamps. The bars are 1 1/4" and your stock ones are 1". The wires and all cables will work just fine. The fatbob risers are a good choice if you want black risers. Look to drag specialties catalog for some chrome risers. Various heights available.
Resurrecting this old thread because I have the exact same question. Just purchased a 2011 Super Glide Custom (my first Harley!). Love the bike, not too crazy about the bars. I'm thinking of putting Fat Bob bars and the black Fat Bob risers on it. Anybody do it? How do you like it? Can they concur with Rounder's post? One Harley salesman said I could get away without changing any cables and a different guy said otherwise (but neither did the conversion). From what I can gather, I can use the same controls with the thicker bar (correct?).
I'm also open to suggestions for bars if anybody has any good ideas. I like the feel of the Fat Bob and Wide Glide bars.
