Check out Simpson, I run a street bandit. The best fit, venting,
bad a$$ helmet for sure, and they look evil as hell. Have an HJC but
after a while it wears me out and makes my head feel heavy. and minimal
loss of vision if any.
Glad to see a lot of you wearin full facers.. I have one too (HJC) real comfy but have never worn it on the fatboy. Not to follow the crowd or anything but my 1/2 helmet days are over. Dont know why I feel this way. just woke up one day this weekend and decided to start wearin the full face the next time i ride. Now lets see if I remeber this on the next non-rainy day! which looks like it will be a week from now...damn...
Two years ago I bought the HD Full face helmet where the front 1/3 flips open. I have never worn a full face prior to this and understand as far as safety goes this still isn't a true full face. I have tried full face in the past and always felt very uncomfortable in them until recently. It does keep the elements off me of which the more I use it the more I like it. I just bought my better half the same helmet last month since it has been colder and wet when riding. This was her first full face as well but now she likes it all though we both still like to get in the wind occasionally with the beanies. I recently have been looking at the FXRG real full face helmet somebody else mentioned and do see it in the future but it is costly. Just my two cents.
I bought a HJC full face, solid Black with a Smoked shield $100 bucks at the local crotch rocket shop $20 for the smoked lens. I've had it 3 years and only bought it for long trips but find myself wearing it more then half the time. It keeps the wind and bugs out of my face and covers my ears so they don't ring for 30min after my ride and i get to listen to my IPOD while riding since i put speakers in it.
I have a non-DOT skull bucket that i wear the rest of the time but thats only around town and on short rides when it's hot.
I have my second Arai full face for this season, comfort is very important to me. You get what you pay for to save your head. Arai has different ones for different shaped noggins, I have a narrow head and their Profile helmet fits like it's not there.
