Thanks frog13, I am not young but surely so dumb...It is exactly what happened here at my end. I now have to discover which cylinder had the problem, then try to take the valve off. Thank you all.

Take 5 tablespoons of baking soda and add it to your gas tank. It will clear it up soon. If it doesn't, the piston springs are loose and can be realigned by adding some Hersheys syrup to the engine oil (about 1 1/2 cups) and taking it out for a spirited romp. Case closed.....

Putting my $$ on the exhaust valve. Go one step further, it very well could have 'contacted' the piston. HOPEFULLY, jus' a "ding" and NOT a "BANG". BUT to be honest with ya, have seen busted pistons, bent rods, and cracked heads. So, as posted, NOT a good thang.
Even tho MANY have learned, MOST learned younger, THAT'S the ONLY difference. Let 'em 'steam' at ya. Been there, Done that.

pull plugs put gague in fromt spinn engine about 8 rev then do the back that shoukd tell ya what cyl it is before tare dawn
then extract his wallet for repair help
