Dynamometer Performance Tuning Necessary?

Dynamometer Performance Tuning Necessary?
I just picked up a '09 FXDF in denim black with the Big Breather, SE Race Tuner, and V&H Big Radius 2/2. Is it really necessary to dyna tune this or can I save myself $500?

I wanted to reference another discussion on the going rate for a dyno tune, which seems to be about $250-300.

The nearest tuning shop is in Gladstone, OR and they're talking 3.5hrs of labor at $100/hr for a total of $425.... ouch!

no... you can use your SERT to get it right or at least as close to right as you need... you only really need to dyno when you change the motor... cams, heads, etc.... some still dyno with exhaust and intake... i did not ahve the GRIP to do it so Eric came out to help me tune mine in...
all done on the sert... i can snap loose my back tire though 3 gears on a stock 88, with pipes and intake... and tach shifting, little to no pop... runs tops!
