Default How much to pay for dyno tune?

I need to get my rkc dyno tuned, just talked to a local shop, that has been reccomend by quite a few people. I talked to the tuner himself and told him my problem, (running rich, pop on decel ect.) he told me that he fixes that all of the time. said it will cost me $175 for a custome map. is this about average? i have a 00 rkc with stage 1 and 95 big bore kit & pcIII. i bought it used and the previouse owner never had it tuned, it needs it bad. so what do you guys think?

That sounds like a good price compared to what I paid ($250) and I bought my PCIII from the dyno shop, another $290

Pretty good price. The dyno guy I use does not quote a up front price. He just dynos it to get the best setup and then quits. I have seen him only charge $75 or $400 depending on how much work the custom map takes.
