Default clutch lever rattle

Anyone got a trick to keep the clutch lever from rattling? I have the clutch adjusted correct...I beleive. The "spring" on the lever itself seams to be good.... Anyone have a trick?

If it's rattling, you may have too much play in it. Should be only a 'dime width' of play between the mount bracket and the lever.

I will check when I get home, but I think thats all the play there is. It started after I put the stiffer bushings in the risers. I get a bit more vibes, but I like the solid feel.

I bent the spring out more in mine so it would press against the housing with more force. That did it for me.

Yeah, the poly bushings do transmit a bit more vibration. I'm even entertaining to go back to stock bushings if I can't get the vibes down in my bars

+1 check the cable adjustment and re-arch the anti rattle spring.

I fixed mine a while back, no more rattle.......I keep a finger on it when I ride. There is a bushing in the lever where it pivots that may be worn.

Well, the clutch is adjusted, so thats not it. I took the "spring" outto bend it...its plastic....

I put a washer/shim in there to increase the tension...worked like a charm.

The poly bushings give a bit more vibes, but now that the clutch rattle is gone, I am keeping them. I love the tighter feel.

I was gonna say...the anti-rattle clip (i.e. the "spring") is plastic. I just replaced mine. $2. The original one looked fine but it comparing it side by side with the new one, it had flattened considerably. The new clip tightened mine right up.
