Hi,
I have an 08 Superglide custom, with forwards ad BSS.
While cleaning the bike I noticed that the front heatshield is just about touching thebrake rod, about 6 inches from the pedal, around about the bend in the front pipe.
What clearance does anyone else have with the same setup ? The frontpipe is also only about 1/2 inch from the front frame downtube.
The bike seems to be getting more vibes, just thought as it was a Harley, but now Im thinking is my front engine mount defective.
What do you think ?

I just went out and visually compared mine to what you've described. Mine slooks like it has similar clearances. I have an 06 FXDI with BSS.
This doesn't eliminate the possibility of isolator issues. Hell, I might have a problem with my front mount, but the vibes seem consistent throughout my owning it.

Different pipes will produce more or less vibrations. Theres info. about this on thunderheaders site. My big radius vibrated my bike more than my fatcat. Others have reported similar issues with other V&H pipes.
