Smile chirping pipes

Hey guy's, I had a question and tell me what you think. When i ride my bike i hear a chirping sound. It seems its when is at lower speeds. So i went to mens night at the local hd store. The guy said it could be the belt that could be doing it and they have some lube they put on to make it quit. Does that sound right or have any of you had this problem?

The belt can indeed cause a chirping sound, the lube may help it for a while but the real problem is most likely that the rear wheel is slightly out of alignment. Lift the bike off the ground with a motor cycle jack. Spin the rear wheel and listen for the chirp. As you spin or rotate the wheel observe the belts position on the rear sprocket, you may be
able to see the belt move over and contact the sprocket edge

Make an axle adjustment gauge and check the axle position on each side of the swing-arm. If needed, loosen the axle nuts and adjust the axle so that the belt will track with out rubbing on the sprockets edges. The amount of adjustment to true up the axle can be very slight, so go slow and only move it a little bit at a time. After the adjustment is made, check the belt tension and be sure that is still within spec.

The old chirping bird in the exhaust pipe trick-Of course!
Let the pipes cool and check for loose support bolts yet?

Do you have big city thunder baffles? I had a chirping/whistling sound after I put those in. Turned out to be one of the lollipops in there was bent. Guess the exhaust flowing through it at just the right velocity made a whistle. Straightened it out and noise was gone.

Heat shield clamps loose or a small stone in between the header and shield. Does the belt chirp rolling the bike backwards? Could the belt be installed in the wrong direction?

Just to throw another idea out there

I get a chirp/squeak from my rear suspention. You can only hear it at low speeds for obvious reasons.

Maybe try shootin' things one-at-a-time with a good shot of WD-40, with short rides in between to see if it's gone. Start at the back/bottom and work your way forward/up. Shoot a clamp, ride, shoot the mount/strap, ride, etc. Might help you find the bird.

That's what it was on my bike. Those radiator screw clamps vibrate loose and cause the shields to squeek against the pipes.
