Default better lighting

i picked up my bike today and broke her in right. i managed to get 80 miles in after getting off work at 6.
the only complaint i have so far is the poor lighting. are there any upgrades(other than adding more lights) that can increase the output? has anyone tried HID conversions?

Be sure the headlite is aimed properly, you may find they are better than you think.

Good Luck

Changed to Silverstars also. In fact I use them in all my vehicles.

this was my first time on a Harley, so 80 miles seemed like a nice ride to me!!

where would you mount the HID ballast?

I'm guessing inside the headlight shell. On Dynas, there's nothing in there anyway, 'cept the stock bulb and the headlight wiring.

+1 my headlight was aimed at the sky from the dealer ship. I run Sylvania'a and adjusted the headlight. Much better. Check out JRK's pics because he mounted some AUX light, which I also thought about doing.

For the HID from what I've seen if your head light housing is big enough you mount the ballast in there, but I don't think the Dyna's are big enough, so people put them under their seat and run the wires.

I thought about HID, but I think I might set something up like JRK's. He tapped into his lower trees and put the AUX lights there. I might make a bracket and mount it using the head light bolt. I'll figure it out when I get to it!

I just ordered a Fox Creek 12" tool bag so as to have room for the electronics on a hid conversion plus routine tools.

Here it is: http://www.foxcreekleather.com/82.html
