You won't get more light for your money anywhere else. If you catch them on sale, you can get 2 for about 30 bucks. No wiring mods, just remove the stock bulb and pop them in.
I tried the ultra one night when my Sylvania Cool Blue bulb went out, I didnt notice any difference! It was nice to get a back to back compairson. Funny thing is when I went to JC Whitney to get the Delta lens/bulb combo. The counter girl gave me $20 off and it ended up being $27+tax....same price as the Ultra. I took the ultra back the next day, the guy at the auto parts store told me they arent any better than the Silverstar's or the Cool Blues. He gave me my money back and said sorry!
What I am trying to say is that IMO once you put in a high performance bulb, its as good as it gets till you replace the lens. IMO the HD lens leaves something to be desired. FYI The delta is a european lens and doesnt have a DOT approval on it.

I do not have the stock headlight assembly on my bike as well.... that is a good point red.
I have to say the Delta is a huge improvment! The light pattern actually puts light in front of the bike! If I turn on the brights, watch out! You can see everything! Overall, for the money, I dont think there is a better combo out there without going to HID. I will admit, I was looking for slightly more, but for less than $50 its hard to complain.
Both our bikes have the PIAA bulbs. No problem with melting refractors or wiring. Have 3 bulbs in the Softail and 1 on my Low Rider.......which I just upgraded to the 5 3/4" bullett style headlight. It's amazing the difference in visibility those bulbs provide over stock. I also added a set of Harley's Engine guard mounted Fog lamps with Halogen bulbs. If you do night riding, what a huge difference those make.......and during the day, the cagers can really see ya coming.
i picked up my bike today and broke her in right. i managed to get 80 miles in after getting off work at 6.
the only complaint i have so far is the poor lighting. are there any upgrades(other than adding more lights) that can increase the output? has anyone tried HID conversions?
Quite wining... this is made in the USA... they are counting on you accepting an inferior product at an overly inflated price... then making excuses of how you were fuked.
