I just installed a Delta headlight replacement light. It comes with a whole new light and bulb. I havn't had a chance to test it out at night cause I just put it in a couple days ago, but I will be sure to report back and let you know how it goes. This isnt one of those el cheepo looks flashy lenses. They actually have better optics than the stocker.

I replaced my Jeep headlights with similar lenses and it made a HUGE difference, so big in fact that I couldnt drive my wifes Jeep anymore at night, at least untill I bought them for hers! They made an amazing difference on the Jeep. The light pattern is so much better you almost never need high beams! I hope they do the same for the bike! One draw back on the bike is that the headlight does sit deeper in the bucket so I actually couldnt use the headlight plug, I had to remove the connectors and actually had to bend back the prongs on the bulb to keep them from hitting the back of the bucket. Those with aftermarket headlight buckets that are deeper should be fine. Update comming soon!

This is the one I got. I couldnt afford the $400 for the HID version so I got the Xenon one.

No way will I put a ugly bag on my front end plus it will cause damage to whatever it lays against!

Just my opinion! Naz

I've been using PIAA H4 110/100W Xtreme White Plus Anti-Vibration Motorcycle Headlight Bulbs in the last 4 Harleys I've owned. IMO you can't beat the brighter output for the price. (2 bulbs for $72.00). I purchase them from Biker Hiway through Amazon.com. Obviously HID would be the ultimate way to go, but I don't feel like putting-out that kind of money for the occasional evening ride. Besides, HID's don't interest me enough to go through the hassle of the entire installation requirements.

Default see the jan 2006 consumer report test on bulbs........

Brightness is a function of both reflector and bulb. Almost all the "high performance" light bulbs are dot approved. They ain't any brighter than stock. The 100 watters will melt your reflector, and possibly wiring, and will burn out quickly. The blue tint is percieved as brighter,it ain't The h-d reflector is just ok,there are better. The best bet for brighter light is to rewire both circuits with 12 gauge wire through a relay to get full power to the bulb. Replace the bulb w/ european 65/70 with the wring above and you'll be very happy.

I'll say it again: Ultra SilverStars.

You won't get more light for your money anywhere else. If you catch them on sale, you can get 2 for about 30 bucks. No wiring mods, just remove the stock bulb and pop them in.
