Am I the only one who actually likes the stock seat that comes with the FXDC? Sure, when you first sit on it it feels like a brick but after about 5 minutes it seems to conform to my bones and is very supportive. I have a Sundowner solo which rides nice but I don't like the way it looks and it seems to raise the seat height at least 2" (probably not, just feels that way). After a few rides I took it off and put the stock back on. Maybe Harley somehow used a mold of my butt to design the seat.
You are one of the few then. That stock FXDC seat was pure misery after about 30 minutes. Yeah, the sundowner sits you up probably 1" to 1.25" taller, but it's comfy. I like my Mustang wide vintage solo tho, it's as comfy as the sundowner... for me.
I have no problem with mine, but I am getting negative feedback on the passenger portion of this seat. I have a H-D Touring seat on order to remedy this.
My biggest problem was longer trips. I could ride about 120-150 miles before a stop and stretch. Then it would be 75-100, then it would be 50-75. After 300 miles it was pure agony on my lower back and I was stopping every 50 miles.

Same here, I didn't mind it but the wife said her part was like sitting on a fence with a maxi pad for cusion. She loves the Touring seat. I prefer the look of a solo so the stocker is gone and I run a Street Bob seat 97% of the time.
