I know this isn't a Dyna specific question but I figure I'll drop it here. I just wanted to know what you guys who wear skullcap style helmets do to quiet the wind noise down some on long rides. I went for a 2 hour ride and the wind noise really started to get to me and once I got home my ears were ringing for awhile. It wasn't untolerable but just enough take my mind off the ride itself which is what really bothered me. Any tricks of the trade will help.
I have a full face but I really don't like wearing it on my harley...I like cruising with the wind on my face. ( I know that sounds lame!) I might give the earplugs a try.
I just have a windshield. I know that someone said it doesn;t help, but it makes a MAJOR difference to me on wind noise. A lot less air hitting your ears.
Easiest, of course, is the ear plugs, which my wife uses.
I wear foam earplugs. Even when I wore a full-face I wore them. I find riding faster than 30MPH very annoying without them. Wind noise can very damaging to your hearing. I am 40 years old and can still hear the high pitch noise that they say only teenagers can hear.
Remember, if you don't use hearing protection, don't worry. Eventually you won't need it.

+1 Winshield helps alot
Earplugs work the best and is the cheapest.
Full face helmet helps alot as well. I have retired my windshield and now use a full face helmet on long trips.
