Default 06 vs 07 EFI differences?

Hi there!

I've found a load based TFI fueler module (instead of the pot based), the Generation III of the Dobeck fueler.
The p.n. is FI-1340ST.

They wrote it's only for 06 Dyna model. I've the '07 one.

But maybe this was the only Dyna available when the unit was built and packaged.

Do you know if there's particular differences on EFI system between '06 and '07 models?
O2 sensors?
Injectors plugs?

That model will work on your bike. I have the same model on my 08.

The early model '06s have 8deg. injectors, and the rest have 23deg. I'd also think that the ECMs are different. The 07s and newer will self adjust a little. I have read the '06s will not. I'd call and ask Doebeck if you can.

06 is an open loop system and the 07+ is a closed loop. Closed loop means that the O2 sensors report back to the ECU and constantly adjusts the air/fuel mixture.

I believe the '06 Dyna EFI bikes are closed loop as mine is.

There are significant differences between the '06 and '07 models. As pennetta said and JasonL alluded to; the '07 and later models are closed loop systems capable of reading and adjusting the a/f ratio while the '06 is not.

Compatibility with the newer ECM should be verified with the manufacturer.

Wrong... The '06 Dyna line all received the same type of f.i. system, that included the 02 sensors. But I know the ECM is a little different, not capable of adjustment, and I think the 02 sensors were even more "narrow" than the 07 and up. If jstreet is using it with no problems, it must work ok. Personally, I wouldn't settle for that. Call the manufacturer and get their opinion.
