You guys who want to eBay our parts need to learn about www.esnipe.com. It will place your bid for you up to 4 seconds before the close of the auction. This puts you on par with guys who live next door to the ebay server.
It also has another feature I use all the time. You can create a Bid Folder and bid on 20 Harley Davidsons at the same time, as soon as you win one it esnipe cancels all your other bids for the remaining bikes. It's a service well worth getting to know.
Has one other advantage I think. That is, I bid 50 bucks for an item that the auction ends in 5 days, that gives everyone elsed lots of time to decide if they want to outbid you. So, in this sense, it keeps you from bidding against yourself.
Some think it's immoral but I don't, you still have to be the high bidder to win.

Seems totally against ebay policy to bid on multiple items, then cancel the other bids once you win one.
