I own five bikes and no windshields. Yes, I've tried them (alot) I wear a flip up Nolan Helmet and it gives me all the protection I need. They destroy the looks of a bike. Also I don't care how careful you are they get scratched up. After a couple of years they look like crap. If the wind really bothers you buy a car. Also, my first Nolan helmet saved my life.

I rode both ways. I like the looks of the bike without it, but enjoy the ride more with it. Get a detachable and use it when you want. I got the detachable and haven't taken it off since other than for cleaning.

I recently bought a standard height quick release HD off of E-bay. I plan on using it only on windy, cooler days. I have tried it out and agree with everyone else. Less fatigue from the wind for sure but more noise and buffeting without question. It is like new, infact probably hardley ever used because of the listed reasons but for the price I paid, I am more than happy.

Love mine, it came with the bike,took it off once cause i thought the bike would look better, went for ride and put it back on cause it is more comfortable. it also stops the bugs from getting in your teeth.
