Default High flow Air filter

I have a question to anyone who replace the stock air filter, with the High flow air filter, the canster at the bottom of the bike, did you removed it, I was told I could since the hook up is not connected to the stock, which is right, but I see on the other side there are two hose running to the tank? how do you take care of this, plug the lines of what???

Leave it on. You must live in California. C.A.R.B. requies it. If you get pulled over, and the CHIP notices it missing, you will get a real big fine and jail time. It is a fuel vapor canister.

When I replaced mine (intake/exhaust) I ripped off all of that California CRAP. I just did a ride with my local HOG chapter (Biggs) and nobody has that CRAP on their bikes. Everyone I know has removed it. I guess if I get stopped and thrown in jail I will know why but have not seen it happen yet.

The evap canister is easy to remove. The really big line is just tucked under the tank and isn't connected to anything, The 2 small vacuum line on the the other side of the canister will be marked "tank" "carb" or something along those lines. Plug the one that says carb and leave the one that says tank open. When removing the bracket that holds on the canister, lossen both bolts but only remove one at a time since these bolts hold on the bottom motor mount.

rj164,
Bike looks good. How do you like the forward controls? Are they HD? I'm looking to do mine next month.
